High Altitude Shredded Apple Pie with Cream
This easy homemade apple pie recipe is filled with tender, shredded apples covered in velvety smooth cream with a hint of cinnamon on top.

1 9 inch pie pan
1 cheese grater
1 small mixing bowl
- 1 9 inch prepared pie dough
- 6 cups shredded apple
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 ½ tablespoon flour
- 1 cup heavy cream
- ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
Preheat oven to 375℉
Prepare pie crust - roll out the pie dough on a lightly floured surface and place in the pie pan
Peel and shred apples - use 5-6 large apples to make cups of apples. Place shredded apples in pie crust WITHOUT pressing them down.
Mix cream filling and pour over apples - mix flour, heavy cream, vanilla, and sugar together in a small bowl. Pour over apples in pie pan.
Sprinkle cinnamon over the apple filling
Bake for 1 hour or until the pie is golden brown and the center of the pie is set up
