High Altitude Apple Pie with Crumb Topping

- 1 prepared pie crust unbaked
Apple Pie Filling
- 6 cups apples peeled and sliced
- ⅓ cup white sugar
- 1 tsp cinnamon
Crumble Topping
- 1 cup all purpose flour
- ½ cup white sugar
- ⅓ cup butter melted
PREPARE PIE CRUST - roll out the pie dough on a lightly floured surface and place in a pie pan
PREHEAT OVEN TO 425 ℉
PEEL, SLICE, AND CUT APPLES - cut apples into thin slices (approximately 1/4" thick)
CREATE APPLE PIE FILLING - dump the sliced apples into the prepared pie crust then sprinkle the sugar and cinnamon over the apples
CREATE CRUMB TOPPING - add the melted butter, sugar, and flour together until clumps start to form. Gently spread the clumps over the top of the apple pie filling
BAKE - bake at 425 ℉ for 5 minutes then decrease the temperature to 350℉ for 40-50 minutes or until the top of the crust and crumb topping is golden brown
