Ingredients

  • 1 3/4 cup all purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons white sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup oil - or melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 3/4 cup milk - or plant-based alternative

Instructions

  • Plug the waffle maker in to preheat
  • Add all of the ingredients except the milk to the large mixing bowl. Mix together and slowly add the milk until all the waffle batter is smooth.
  • When your waffle maker is hot and ready, spray with cooking spray or lightly brush with olive oil. Pour the batter into the hot waffle maker. Tip: check your waffle maker's manufacturer's instructions for the right correct amount of batter.  Typically a Belgian waffle iron is 1 cup, regular waffle iron 1/2 cup, and mini waffle iron 1/4 cup of batter.
  • Cook the waffle until it is golden brown.
  • Repeat the cooking process until you have enough waffles. Serve with your favorite toppings and enjoy!
